On cold winter nights when we have friends over I love to serve this warming Sangria. There is really nothing better than good friends and a fun spicy drink.
Spicy Red Sangria
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Fireball Whiskey
- 1/2 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1 (750 milliliter) bottle Cabernet or Merlot
- 1/2 cup triple sec
- 2 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil
- 2 drops Cinnamon Essential Oil
- 1 drop Lime essential oil
- 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 1 lime, sliced into rounds
- 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional)
- 1/4 cup maraschino cherries
- 2 cups club soda
Directions
1. In a large bowl, mix together the liquid ingredients except club soda and essential oils.
2. In pitcher, place fruit. Put essential oils on fruit.
3. Pour the liquid ingredients from Step 1 over fruit.
4. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
5. For a fizzy sangria, add club soda just before serving.
Note: I use Dreaming Tree Crush. Lady in Red or Sterling Cabnernet. Just avoid a tobacco or leather finish. You can add any fruit you have handy… apples, berries, citrus, etc.
Non-alcoholic Sangria
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup frozen lemonade concentrate
- 1 cup orange juice
- 3 cups grape juice
- 2 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil
- 1 drops Cinnamon Essential Oil (optional)
1 drop Lime essential oil - 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 1 lime, sliced into rounds
1 cup fresh pineapple chunks - 1 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup maraschino cherries
- 2 cups gingerale
Directions
1. In a large bowl, mix together the liquid ingredients except gingerale and essential oils.
2. In pitcher, place fruit. Put essential oils on fruit.
3. Pour the liquid ingredients from Step 1 over fruit.
4. Refrigerate overnight for best flavor.
5. Add gingerale just before serving.
Important… I use doTERRA Essential Oils. If you use another brand, please check the label to ensure they are safe for internal use. Most are not.
