The really crappy very bad day
What do you do when you have a really crappy very bad day? How do you reset yourself? How do you get over it?
It is super easy for me to make suggestions when I’m sitting behind my desk having an ordinary okay day. But, just like everyone else, when I’m having a really bad crappy day… poof! I’m a blank. I forget to put oils in the diffuser, on my body, inhale them… you get the idea.
So Monday, I had a really crappy very bad day. I was at a wonderful quilt retreat at a waterfront lodge quilting away with two dozen of my friends. I had my project laid out and I had 16 seams left to sew so I could get a Christmas present done. Then someone asked me for something and I reached down for my purse and it was gone. I searched everywhere and discovered it was truly gone. Not just misplaced but stolen. Not the ending I’d envisioned for my wonderful recharge weekend at all!
To make things even more fun my car keys were in it. So I packed everything up and had someone take me home and told my husband as the realization sunk in. Expensive remote start for my car – gone. All my credit cards and debit card – gone. Keys to the house – gone. Two check books – gone. My beloved and now retired Kate Spade purse, wallet – gone not to mention all the other stuff in it that is now gone. If that isn’t bad enough, then realizing that I have to re-key the entire house (with 5 doors), re-key my car, put stop payments on 2 packs of checks, cancel and reissue credit cards and did I mention my passport was in there?
You get the idea. I alternated between wanting to crawl under my desk or cry. Not good. In essence… a really crappy, very bad day. So a good mindset coach would say… to take a step back and look at what is going right in your life and this is just one bad moment and you’ll forget about it as time goes on. A good essential oils coach would say… put some Balance, Bergamot and Wild Orange in the diffuser and breathe deeply and focus on centering yourself. Continue the day with other calming oils like Copaiba, Serenity, and take a nice lovely Lavender bath. Nope, not me. I was chugging Digestzen trying to get my stomach to settle and freaking out.
So take a lesson from me… make up a batch of ‘The Really Crappy Very Bad Day Blend and put it on your desk near your diffuser and shake it up and put several drops in your diffuser.
I hope the jerk that took it enjoyed the small amount of cash that was in it that is costing me about $1500 to deal with along with hours of my time which is premium. If I was a better person I would just say they needed it more than I do and bless and release, but apparently I am not a better person and I’m in the…‘May the fleas of a 1,000 camels infest’… place.
