That night of spookiness is right around the corner! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. It is so much fun to see all the little goblins and ghouls going up and down our street looking for treats. So you all doing play tricks on me here are some of my favorite Halloween treats…err tips.
One of the most fun things is to carve a pumpkin into an amazing Jack ‘O Lantern. I swear I’m more excited than the kids to see how they are going to turn out. But… my least favorite thing is to have them start to sag or turn black. Ick! My daughter says at least I don’t have to keep them out of moose range. She sent me a photo of hers being eaten by a moose right off her porch.
So for those of you without pumpkin eating moose… Here is a little recipe to help keep your pumpkin fresh longer!
Kids having a Halloween party at school? Here is a yummy frosting that is amazing on chocolate cupcakes that you can whip up in minutes.
On beverage duty? Here is some yummy Spiced Cider that will definitely be a hit.
It wouldn’t be Halloween without spiders. I don’t know about you but those little eight legged freaks have been coming inside looking for a nice warm place to winter over. I admit it, I’m not a fan. I know they are one of God’s creatures but I just can’t (shudder). I bought a Critter Catcher to safely catch them and return them outside but I want them to stay there so this is what I use to help make that happen.
After your little trick or treater is all dressed up and ready to go… pull out your On Guard Sanitizing Spray and spray they hands and do it again when they get home. I’d also swipe their little feet with On Guard Touch (aka Zombie Touch) for some added protection.
If they come home and sneak off with their pumpkin full of candy when you aren’t looking… this can help soothe their little tummies.
A little too much terror? It can be scary out there – some of those costumes are pretty realistic and especially if there is a haunted house. Yikes. Here is my Monster Under the Bead Spray:
All that sugar, excitement and fun can make it hard to sleep. Diffuse Serenity or Lavender and they’ll be off to dream land in no time so hopefully you’ll have a moment to relax!
Hope these help you enjoy Halloween as much as I do!
