Fish is one of the quickest, easiest dinners you can make. Living on an island in Southeast Alaska means we are lucky enough to have abundant fish available to us. I’ve had some fun adapting some recipes to incorporate essential oils. Hope you enjoy them!

Quick and way to add a boost of flavor to fish!
Cumin Fish Dry Rub
Ingredients:
1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika
1 teaspoon brown sugar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 drop Cumin essential oil
¼ teaspoon chili powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
Combine paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, Cumin essential oil, chili powder, black pepper, and oregano in a small bowl.
Gently rub into fish. Then sear or grill as usual. This would be great with Salmon, trout, snapper, catfish or any white fish with the exception of Halibut which is probably to delicate.
Note: All essential oils aren’t created equally. Especially for internal use check the label to see if it is safe.
